Happy Friday!!!

It's Friday! I love fridays. There's just something exciting about fridays don't you think! So I've been creating and getting into new things lately...I've started smashing for the first time and there's this thing called filofaxing?? Yeah I'm so all up in that thing. But that's for another day...

Today I wanted to share a quick project using Graphic 45 Secret Garden papers. I made a hanging sign for a friend to display in her craft room. There's a whole wack of different elements used - gesso, some texturing, flowers, tulle, some prima embellies and of course LACE!! I <3 lace! There's also a kaisercraft wooden frame and the cameo stamp is from Hero Arts.

Have an awesome weekend!!!

Prima Romance Novel Layout

Hey everyone!

I am happy to share with you a layout I created of me and my sister taken when we were on our way to the Philippines last month. It was such an awesome trip!
Anyways, I pulled this pic off of my sister's instagram and chose to use one of my favorite PRIMA lines "Romance Novel". (Yes, I hauled it out of my precious secret Prima stash...shh!) ;) ♥
I did some stenciling for the first time, yeash I need more practice lol. I also cut up my only Prima flower vines left "flowers tendrils grape" is what its called. Its so beautiful and one of my absolute favs that I am a little sad that that was my last one   :( *sigh..
There's also some laces and WOC cherry blossoms that I purchased from my friend Edith, some Tim Holtz embellies and a Prima button from the Engraver line.
Oh! And I cant forget the tulle! Gives the layout some awesome texture! I am in love with this tulle I found at my local fabric store.  Oh and that tiny ornate frame thats there? I made that using a Martha Stewart's mold. LOVE!!

"Pretty Girl" Prima Layout

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I know I did, but it sure did fly by fast! Did you get what you wished for? :)

So for my first project of 2013, I created a layout using Prima's Tea-Thyme papers. I LOVE this collection! It was so easy to create with! I did a bunch of fussy cutting, and distressing and I even used some Gesso to white wash part of the background paper. So fun!

Here it is in all it's yumminess! Ain't she a beaut!

I found this AWESOME pinned rose tutorial on pinterest where she used the Donna Salazar Spellbinders "Rose Creations" die, and seriously, I fell in love with it. All I did differently was use a paintbrush to curve the petals, whereas she pinched it with her fingers. It was so super easy to make, and for those of you who have some homemade flowers under your belt, this tutorial will be a cinch for you! Even if you've never made homemade flowers before, hey, why don't you try it!

Here's a close up of the rose blooms
